What is Primordial Sound Meditation?

Primordial Sound Meditation is a meditation technique originating in the Vedic wisdom of India. Chopra Center co-founders, Drs Deepak Chopra and David Simon, revived this ancient practice of sound meditation and made it available in a format that’s easy to learn. Primordial sounds—the basic, most essential sounds of nature—are used to disconnect us from the activity of life. Is meditation religious?

Meditation is an exercise that can be practiced by any person regardless of their faith tradition. Some religions and spiritual practices do incorporate meditative techniques; but, meditation, in and of itself, is not a religion.


What kind of yoga do you teach?

Miriam completed a 200-hour, Certified Yoga Alliance training in the Vedic tradition at Chopra University in Carlsbad, CA. These classes incorporate asana, pranayama, mantra and chakra toning while weaving in the teachings of The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga.


Is the personal training outdoors even in the winter?

Outdoor fitness is optional, but encouraged. There are many benefits to exercise in nature, and many ways to experience (FUN)ctional fitness in the snow!


I have no experience in anything you teach. Can I still attend?

Absolutely! Whether you are an experienced meditator and yogi or meditating for the first time, an avid exerciser or new to working up a sweat, you are invited, always, to ‘begin where you are’.


Can I bring my dog?

This is a pet-friendly, outdoor environment; and, your dog is welcome to be a part of your outdoor fitness practice. The meditation space is pet-free in order to comfortably accommodate those who have allergies to pets.


Can you teach my kids mindfulness or meditation?

Even better, YOU can be taught to teach your children mindfulness and meditation. Modeling a daily meditation practice and a mindful approach to life may be a more effective way of teaching your children than having them attend a class solo. But, you are, indeed, invited to discuss with Miriam the opportunity to explore family focused mindfulness and meditation mentoring.
